Great Valley Berry Patch
Sugar snap peas are now open for picking! We will be open from 9-3 for picking.
Shelling peas and raspberries should be ready sometime in the next week but we will update here as soon as they are open.
Strawberry season has come to an end. We will remain closed this week until peas or raspberries are ready to be picked.
The weather this year is not kind to strawberries. As such it will be an exceptionally short season this year. We will be open from 9-8 through Sunday June 26th and will reevaluate the fields after closing Sunday.
Peas and raspberries are about two weeks away from picking. The blueberry crop will be quite small this year but should be ready by mid July.
We will be open for strawberry picking with reduced hours today, 9-3.
We will be open from 9-3 on Sunday June 19th, and closed Monday June 20th to allow the berries some time to ripen. We will scout the fields Monday night to make a decision about Tuesday.
The demand for strawberries has been overwhelming! As a result we may need to change our hours in order to allow the berries more time to ripen to meet demand. Please call before making the trip to make sure we are open.
The 2022 strawberry season will begin June 15th at 9 am. We will be open from 9-8 daily during strawberry season. Pick your own will be $3 a pound and ready picked will be $7 a quart when available.
We are a family owned and operated farm in the heart of Cattaraugus County. Established in 1996 by Keith and Nadyne Litchfield, we have expanded from just strawberries (though that is still our main focus). The farm now grows sweet corn, raspberries, blueberries and provides a variety of other fruits and vegetables.
Remember to stop by the stand or call to find out what we have available that week.
